So the loop has a story: the gates of the level crossing started to go down just as I arrived; rather than waiting and cooling off, I went for a little loop… But then, at the end of my loop, I can see the gates going down again. So I went for a second loop, imagining a world where the level crossing closures would be perfectly synchronised with the runner’s loops, leading him into a perpetual race, both absurd and tragic, until the end of time.
Alors la boucle a une histoire : les barrières du passage à niveau ont commencé à descendre juste au moment où j’arrivais ; plutôt que d’attendre et de me refroidir, je suis parti pour une petite boucle… Mais voilà qu’arrivé à la fin de ma boucle, je vois à nouveau les barrières descendre. Alors je suis reparti pour une seconde boucle, en imaginant un monde où les fermetures du passage à niveau seraient parfaitement synchronisées avec les boucles du coureur, entraînant celui-ci dans une course perpétuelle, à la fois absurde et tragique, jusqu’à la fin des temps.
